Our expectation for this week was that we would see most if not all colors in stock for all memory sizes. We were wrong. While the iPhone 16 Pro had some improvements, backlogs are beginning to appear for the iPhone 16 Pro Max for each carrier. This trend looks a lot like what we have seen in previous iPhone cycles.
The narrative for this particular iPhone cycle has always been that word of mouth would drive additional sales. It has not created mass shortages (think 2021 iPhone cycle) but one more week of backlogs and it’s possible we could declare the iPhone 16 Pro Max as backlogged.
