iPhone 16 Pro is becoming more widely available across all carriers, memory storage sizes, and colors. Like 2023, White Titanium continues to be the scarcest color across all carriers. When comparing to 2023, the iPhone 16 Pro is generally more available than where the iPhone 15 Pro was at the same point in the selling cycle (but the difference is not meaningful – roughly a week).
AT&T’s iPhone 16 Pro backlogs improved the most of any carrier this week. We anticipate a “normal” state by the end of October which would be in line with the iPhone 15 Pro cycle.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max distribution looks a lot more like where the iPhone 15 Pro Max was at this point in the 2023 selling cycle. One-to-two-week backlogs across the board, with a few color/ memory combinations experiencing chronic delays. Not sure why there have been many changes (some creating 2-3 week backlogs), but will be looking for clues when the carriers announce earnings this week.
