Attached is the first iPhone 14 availability tracker . Since there is no backlog on the iPhone 14 for any carrier, color, or memory size, we did not include that slide. Please note that the T-Mobile and Verizon dates shown are “ships by” while the AT&T date is “delivered by.” Based on our understanding of AT&T’s delivery interval, a comparable AT&T “ships by” date would be 2-3 days earlier than that shown on each page.
The iPhone 14 Pro is experiencing smaller than expected backlogs compared to the COVID-impacted iPhone 13 and 12 model years. Silver is the color in shortest supply this year (re: gold was last year’s hard to get color). Also, unlike years past, the “existing customers get the same deal as new customers” backlog at AT&T is not materially worse than Verizon. Bottom line: If you want to get an iPhone 14 Pro, your best bet is T-Mobile.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max is showing characteristics of previous iPhone Pro Max launches. Simply put, there is no supply anywhere in the system. It’s important to remember that all of these changes are prior to any unique Holiday promotions.
